I like this cardigan a lot because it is easy and satisfying to make. You will be crocheting four squares, linking them together and adding a border. Optional: you can leave it as a poncho or sew the sides partially to make sleeves.
In terms of colours, I used a mix for the front two squares and a single colour for the back squares.
Yarn used: any Aran
Crochet Hook: 5.5mm
Crochet Needle: Optional
Difficulty: Easy
Stitches used:
* Slip stitch (SS)
* Double crochet (DC)
* Half-double crochet (HDC)
To make each square:
Step 1. start with a magic circle, chain two, make 3dc, chain 4, 4dc, chain 4, 4dc, chain 4 and ss into the top of the beginning chain two
Step 2.
Step 3. complete in total 13 rounds for each square and make 4 squares.
Then stitch the opposite colours together and then stitch the 2 grey ones to form the back. Then make a border of 2 rows of hdcs.
Make sleeves by stitching together part of the lateral squares and make another 'sleeve border' of 2 rows of hdcs.
